Dr. Meron Zeleke Eresso serves as an associate professor at Addis Ababa University, where she leads research, teaching, and academic mentorship in social anthropology, human rights, and development studies. With extensive international experience, she has taught, conducted research, and collaborated with institutions across Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia.
Dr. Meron’s work addresses critical societal challenges, including gender equality, migration dynamics, religious and customary conflict, labor markets, and social development. She also serves as editor-in-chief of the Ethiopian Journal of Human Rights and holds editorial positions in highly ranked international journals such as Progress in Development Studies (Sage), Journal of North Eastern African Studies (Michigan State University), and Islamic Africa (Brill).
