Anegagregn Gashaw Ferede is a transformative Ethiopian higher education leader and associate professor of TEFL. He served as president of Debre Tabor University (2018–2025), guiding institutional transformation, advancing digital modernization, and strengthening global partnerships. Previously, he held leadership positions at Wollo University (2012–2018), including academic vice president, director of community services, and dean of social sciences and humanities. In 2024/25, he became the founding president of the Association of Comprehensive Universities in Ethiopia, the first national consortium dedicated to advancing institutional autonomy and collaboration.
Since 2023, he has served as Country and Institutional Representative for Africa-UniNet, fostering transcontinental research partnerships and academic diplomacy.
